Collaboration between CRE, IT, HR and finance is already occurring with surprising intensity on a project basis. In the future, greater collaboration will be necessary if true workplace value is to be realized and must become a CRE core competency. This is a leadership opportunity for CRE within the organization.
What you can do: Take the lead. Use real estate and the workplace as the common ground for greater collaboration with functional areas such as IT, HR and finance. Engage with your support service counterparts to identify the intersections with CRE and clearly articulate their value.
